Cesium iodide (CsI) crystals are colorless, transparent materials with a cubic structure. Based on the incorporation of different activator dopants, they are commonly categorized into three scintillator variants: thallium-activated CsI(Tl), sodium-activated CsI(Na), and undoped pure CsI(p-CsI).
CsI crystals exhibit common characteristics of being soft, easily machinable, and non-cleaving, which facilitates their customization into various geometries. Among them, CsI(Tl) crystals are recognized as one of the highest light-yield scintillators, featuring a broad emission wavelength range that exhibits excellent matching with silicon photodiodes. Due to the cost-effectiveness, CsI-based scintillators have been widely used in diverse applications including luggage security screening, radiation dosimetry, industrial nondestructive testing, medical SPECT imaging, and high-energy physics detection.

Features:
• High light-output
• Fast decay time
• Non-cleaving
• Bridgman growth method
• Cost-effective
• Dia. 90×300 mm (crystal ingot)
• Various encapsulation techniques
• Arrays of various pixel sizes
